Finally got around to watching the "Jack Reacher" movie

It's on Netflix, so I didn't waste any money on it. It was actually better than I thought it would be. I was expecting a ton of car chases and explosions. More of a thriller/mystery. I'll probably watch the second one this weekend.

Actually, the new TV show is quite good. Alan Richman is physically more like the character in the novels than is Tom Cruise. The serial format lends itself to the many plot levels in the stories.

5. It wasn't bad. Tom Cruise did a pretty good job. It's just hard for me to buy him being the badass that Reacher is.

The guy on the series right now (not sure what platform) is much more believable.

The series didn’t grab my interest as much as the movies. First movie was better than the 2nd but still a good movie.

have enjoyed them all, although the first ones to me were somewhat better. Tried to watch the series but couldn't get into it. That being said, I didn't know a thing about Ritchson, so I found the article very interesting. He seems to be the type of 'Christian' I'm familiar with from the past, certainly not the current version. A real decent human being.

“I'm a Christian quite simply because of what Jesus calls us to do," Ritchson told THR. "Love other people until death. It doesn't mean we're all to be hung on a cross, but how can I suffer for you? That is a beautiful thing."

But Christians have become “ the most vitriolic tribe” the 41-year-old actor added. "It is so antithetical to what Jesus was calling us to be and to do."

"Trump is a rapist and a con man,” he said in the interview, “and yet the entire Christian church seems to be treat him like he's their poster child and it's unreal. I don't understand it."

9. The Cruise movies are good movies for what they are, but they aren't Reacher.

Reacher’s size, and look, are virtually characters in the books. He’s 6’5”, 250 pounds, with short blond hair, and a face described as “all angles.” I picture Dolph Lundgren, but it sure ain’t Tom Cruise.

Alan Ritchson is pretty close, although he’s probably too handsome.

10. Season 1 vs Season 2

The First Season of Reacher on Prime was the best! The second season, they went on the offense all the time with the "bad guys" and it made it seem more like Reacher and the gang were the judge, jury and executioner. That bothered me. I also liked the fact that in the first season when he was a man alone, the second season just wasn't as appealing with his gang. But worth watching!
