Hulu - The Truman Show -1998

Someone should do this as "The Trump Show" because there are really eerie similarities between the 2 subjects. Hadn't seen this in 25 years. Was amazed with Ed Harris, Harry Shearer. Paul Giannotta, and Noah Emmerich roles in this film..

At least Carey gets to display some of his acting chops instead of his tired cringe-inducing caricatures. The story idea is original and well executed until the point where it becomes obvious the writer ran out of gas and tacked on a ridiculous side theme with silly and totally unnecessary characters. In a way, it's the same fatal flaw the movie "Contact" had.

The ending wasn't great because I don't think they knew where to take the ending. It was an unreal existence and he figured it out. OK, now what?
