The Quiet Girl
on HULU - When I did a search it said rent or buy, but then it showed up on the selections as free.
This is an Irish film, spoken in Gaelic with English subtitles. Like its title, this is a quiet film with poignant moments - like it is in real life. It is the story of a young girl living in a crowded large family, living in poverty on a farm. She rarely speaks and tries to make herself invisible in the world. Her mother is pregnant and sends Cait to a cousin's farm for the summer. This is a stable, clean home.
The delicacy of this film is absolutely beautiful; cinematography, acting, and story.
This is not for action adventure fans. It is a stunning film
