Hooray! Just got the results of my CT scan. All good
I was so sure something would be wrong. The doctor said it’s probably just scar tissue from my old appendectomy causing a little discomfort. Such a relief I don’t have to get surgery or anything. Thank you everyone for your advice and helping me worry about it!

(39,398 posts)When it turned out a few years ago that I did have breast cancer, I did not have a clue, had never feared it, it didn’t run in my family. So thank goodness for regular mammograms cause I’m OK now

(96,349 posts)I forgot, until Sunday night, that I was scheduled to have a couple things removed for biopsy Monday morning! I did make it on time and everything.
It's a major cringe event for me when I have to get cut. My request was to be shielded from the visuals, the numbing was a given but it required some uncomfortable injections. I survived the whole 45 minutes of cutting and stitching, more stitches than I had imagined, though. So now I have a couple weeks of healing the incision, which was deep, to heal. Once the skin fuses it will be a lot easier to endure. Since the larger of the 2 things was just below my knee on the inside of my leg, I have some physical challenges until I can bend my leg a little more. I had to sleep in three shifts last night.
After today I expect to have a lot less discomfort, and wait for the biopsy results. Glad yours turned out negative. We expect mine to but you never know so we decided to check.

(39,398 posts)I know what it’s like when they do a needle biopsy, or wedge something out. And as bad as it is,I hate getting cut myself, the waiting for results is the hardest part. I will be keeping you in my thoughts
I am not concerned, if it is cancerous, it will only be basal cell carcinoma which is far less of a problem that many other skin afflictions. For me the biggest part is getting through the part where I have stitches in both my legs. The smaller thing was also on the inside of my leg but far enough above the knee to not be a hindrance at all, hardly notice it compared to the other one!
I'll probably sleep better tonight. Thanks for the good vibes!

(2,475 posts)focus of my entire life since 1995 when I had to have a partial gastrectomy. Today I found out that I have to have a shoulder replacement. I'm used to digestive issues, but this is a whole other thing and I'm kind of nervous.
