Stiff heart syndrome
Apparently what I have is stiff heart syndrome. It is quite serious. For the first time, I am frightened.

You are doing the right thing, get treatment, help and support.
This will give you a much better prognosis than not getting it diagnosed and treated properly!
Sending you good vibes!

(24,016 posts)it is normal to be frightened about those things in our body that seem to just take over against our will... I am frightened as well, although my appt with the cardiologist is not until Tuesday and I have no diagnosis yet.
Live each day with as much positivity as possible and enjoy the little things... sometimes easier said than done

(18 posts)I'm sorry for your fright murielm but it's good to have answers.
I was terribly frightened after my heart attack in 2016. I learned that I had alot of calcium deposits in my arteries, could be from my APOE or my uranium exposure. My CRP test was 3 but now it's .3 so I had a lot of inflammation.
I had to make some changes in my diet, so mostly do low carb, with vitamin k2 and vitamin d supplements. It appears that my high inflammation levels were problematic.
I also take potassium and magnesium supplements since those are hard to get from the diet. Most soil is depleted from magnesium so the leafy vegetables are depleted too. Generally one needs to eat about 7 cups of vegetables to get enough potassium so that was a challenge for me!
I'm sure your doctor will advise but in my experience they never had time to discuss dietary info. I often listen to lectures on youtube.com for updates.
I'm sure you will be fine now that you know your options.
Ps I noticed that you asked earlier about a pacemaker. I have one, but it's only a 1 lead to control my slow heart rate. It eas an easy surgery (for me,) and I think it's controlled my rate although now I have a fast rate and am taking metropolol.
