Naturally, if your case really requires a prescription model, go that route.

I'm going to look into this. I thought I would have to learn to live with tinnitus due to the price factor. From what I see in the links it might be worth buying an iPhone and AirPods 2. I'll look into it more though.

I read somewhere that some people keep a song or songs echoing through their brain for the same, probably unconscious, reason.

Just choose good music if you can.
Mozart is great for this.

You might want to have a hearing test before you invest in OTC hearing aids.
