A Christian extremist radio host has made the astonishing claim that ‘HIV does not cause AIDS’.
Bryan Fischer, Director of Issues Analysis for the American Family Association, told listeners of his Focal Point radio show: ‘The reason HIV was invented as the cause of AIDS is it was a way to get research money.’
He claimed that this is the way to get ‘big bucks to fund your laboratories’.
He continued: ‘If AIDS is caused by behaviour, there's no money in that because you just tell people, “Hey, stop doing the behaviour.” So that's why they have to find some bug that they can blame it on… “We’ve got to kill this thing, we need billions of dollars of research.”
