Stay there for awhile. That is your source of protection, and there is your strength to step forward & give aid to another who is afraid.

4. Meditation keeps me sane, especially in this time

I have been doing some sort of meditation for about 50 years. It is one of the most difficult, "easy" things I have ever done. Progress not perfection. Monkey mind is still a challenge. I had an EEG years ago and the EEG tech said I had a very stable brain waves what ever that meant..
For me the trick is to "just do it". Too easy to skip my am/pm meditation... I also find I need less sleep as meditation takes you deeper than sleep. I highly recommend the book
"The relaxation response " by Harvard Professor Herbert Benson. He set out to prove meditation was fake and became a believer. The capper was that it was proven that meditation actually changes the brain structure and gray matter........ for the better!! YMMV
