It can just come out of nowhere. I had corneal surgery Thursday, and life just seems so unsettled. I'm trying to go on disability. My SO is disabled.

Just hits me

List the names of the state in your head. If that doesn't work, dunk your face in cold water. If all else fails, go to ER.

That’s what I do when I’m experiencing bad stress too. It really helps for grounding me and getting the excess energy out.

When I was diagnosed with PD my landlady asked me why I walked around so much (she lived under me). With cognitive therapy I rarely have PAs anymore but still deal with GA.

And it appears totally random to an observer. I had a coworker sitting next to me who got them occasionally. He’d curl up in a ball under his desk and take a Xanax. I don’t even often have anxiety more than a couple minutes and i hate the feeling. Really sorry for those who suffer with it.

Close your eyes breath in and out. Big breaths let it out through your mouth slowly. Clear your mind and just concentrate on the breathing.

and nothing in particular stressing me out. I found out that the pounding chest was eased rapidly by breathing into a bag on your face for a few moments. It works. It can be a paper or plastic bag, whatever you have available.
