Hope all are well. I'm having panic attack. Deep breathing. Trying to distract myself with DU and TV, Midsomer Murders.

(14,338 posts)It can just come out of nowhere. I had corneal surgery Thursday, and life just seems so unsettled. I'm trying to go on disability. My SO is disabled.

(15,359 posts)of trees, birds, and squirrels. It's so important that I have gear for anything less than a blizzard. I can be totally comfortable out there in any weather I'm likely to see.
Thats what I do when Im experiencing bad stress too. It really helps for grounding me and getting the excess energy out.
When I was diagnosed with PD my landlady asked me why I walked around so much (she lived under me). With cognitive therapy I rarely have PAs anymore but still deal with GA.

(11,780 posts)And it appears totally random to an observer. I had a coworker sitting next to me who got them occasionally. Hed curl up in a ball under his desk and take a Xanax. I dont even often have anxiety more than a couple minutes and i hate the feeling. Really sorry for those who suffer with it.

(87,868 posts)Close your eyes breath in and out. Big breaths let it out through your mouth slowly. Clear your mind and just concentrate on the breathing.

(52,340 posts)and nothing in particular stressing me out. I found out that the pounding chest was eased rapidly by breathing into a bag on your face for a few moments. It works. It can be a paper or plastic bag, whatever you have available.
