So, an update.

After my freakout of last week, I have managed to calm down a bit and have been trying to figure out what to do. I appreciate the suggestions and am looking at taking a few of them. My hubby and I are also going to be taking a bit of a trip up north for a few days. Maybe some non-Twin Cities air will help me.

I have stopped taking the gabapentin. After I went through the withdrawal, I noticed that the reasons why they gave it to me just did not reappear. So, I kept on not taking it. Now, I am feeling more clear-headed and less like a lump on life. Of course, the down side is that now I don't have that extra layer of gastro-intestinal nullification, so I am having to greatly restrict my diet. Which, for a food lover like me, is akin to torture. But, I am trying. I really am. I don't see any hope in any of it, but I am trying.

Thank you all for your help. I really do need to start a memoir or something. Then, some of my behavior and reactions to things would make a lot more sense.

"Forest bathing" is a real thing. Walking in the woods is good for your mind and soul. I hope you feel better!

kind of a good news/bad news thing. We can't walk a mile in your shoes, but we can be with you in spirit..

And there is a LOT to be said about writing - to organize thoughts, remember the important stuff and just a kind of catharsis.

Let us know.

We're all family here, and like to know how each one is doing after a "freak out" ie, another upsetting life event out of our control.

always blows the debris out of my head, even debris I don't know is there. I hope it's beautiful, wherever you go.
