Wish me luck navigating the roads to my therapy appointment

Since Wednesday we've gotten about 10" of snow, the last 5" fell on Saturday. I live at the lowest point in the subdivision so everywhere is up hill. There are lots of tracks in the road so I should be OK if I take it slow.

Driving, especially in the Winter, is a big anxiety trigger for me but I also need food for the kid cats so I'll take a deep breath and hope for the best. The things I do for those kid cats! I will bring along a pair of snow boots, just in case.

The good news is that there is no snow in the 10 day forecast and the temps aren't going to be as cold as earlier predicted.

I don't drive any more, but I always HATED driving in snow. At least we're all a little bit closer to spring.

Consider - what if you didn't make it home with that cat food? Maybe it might be better to wait until it is safer and coble up some cat food from what you have on hand. If you do venture out; be careful.

as much as predicted.
Next vehicle you might think about 4 wheel drive.
Best of luck.

We will move to Tucson when my DH retires in a few years, because we are tired of snow and cold. He might retire earlier, with the governmental purges.

I read a post I think it was on twitter that said, I can either handle fascism or all this snow, but not both! I got a laugh out of that.

I have to go out in a couple hours too. It's been snowing since Thursday, might stop on Wednesday for a little while before it starts snowing again. I don't have a garage, I'm lucky when the plow guy decides the drifts are deep enough in my parking spot to actually plow it. Same guy who mows down my flowers. He'll plow everyone else's spaces but not mine, every time.

There is a good foot of snow on my car right now and still coming down hard so by the time I get out there, it's going to take a few minutes to clear that off and it's about +1F, going to - maybe - get up to +10F today and be colder tomorrow.

I am not too concerned about getting down the road or down the hill, my little beast is a tank in the snow and just goes right through it. It weighs over two tons so the weight is a factor. My issue is the anti-lock brakes, I hates them and think they are unsafe. But that's what this car has so as long as I give myself extra braking distance I'm okay.

The irony here is that, this morning, I have to go to PT for my shoulders because they got messed up last time we had a lot of snow, I have a 30ft long drift covering the path to my car from the bottom of the porch steps. I'm not shoveling this time, screw it. I'll be wearing a snowsuit while I'm out today anyway.

Here's to winter driving! You'll be okay, you think about what you're doing while driving, a major plus!
