Are you able to get it worked on? I hope you're able to and not in pain. I've been thinking of you.

(7,539 posts)The pain has subsided for the most part and I am awaiting approval from insurance.
I have started the packing process. It is a very complicated thing for someone like me. As I have said before, I suffer from AAD (Adjustment Anxiety Disorder) a lot and this kind of thing is very stressful and dramatic for me. However there is another aspect that is making this harder than most might think.
My age and health is coming into play in a way that it never has before. I am not in good shape generally these days, and with the constant surgeries, I have all but lost my muscle tone and movement. In addition, the neuropathy has been affecting my mental acuity as well. I go into a room and then completely forget why I came in. This happens to everyone I suppose but for me it has become far more constant and happens far more often than it used to. (I also wonder about the new revelation that microplastics are collecting in our brains thanks to corporate denial of the dangers associated with using the stuff in the first place. I am certainly in the demographic where this would be happening. I am from the generation that felt eating with aluminum was safe. We used lead in toys without concern.)
I am afraid that I might have a heart attack before we can get this move done. My hubby has no one else here. Thanks to... well, those are stories for another time, but I hope to be able to relate them to you all one day soon. It is a tale of lust, greed, naivete, and bad luck. It might make a good book for all I know. If writing about singing crawdads can make my home area famous, who knows?

(15,711 posts)Moving is stressful under the best of circumstances. I hope physically and mentally you can do it. Can you have like 1 800 junk come in and just take stuff you don't really need? I plan on doing that someday.
