My mother said when I attempted suicide "she just wants attention"

What the fuck is wrong with attention?

When my son ran away..she (my mother) said 'he just wants attention'...and I told her...well I can GIVE him that attention...and I ran after him!

and every weekend when I was going to leave, she tried to make me feel guilty for leaving....

One day I decided to never see her again, as the guilt would be the same as leaving her.

My son wanted the room she inhabited and my sister came and took her and her bank account out of state..when my son visited another country

The first thing my sister told me when she said my mother was dead, was that because she was on day care, they did not have to do an autopsy???

My mother hated my sisters kids...oh well!

My mother hated my sisters kids...when my sister brought my mother to my house to say goodbye, my sister was taking her out of state to her house...she (my mother) was incoherent???

It had been a couple of months since I had seen my mother, but I would never guess she was totally incapacitated?

My son just wanted the room my mother lived in...

I think my mother's last years were horrid...not my fault...but I wish I could have helped her.

I was in the bathroom with my wrists bleeding, though not fatally...and my sister had to break down the door, cause my mother dismissed my suicide attempt as an attempt for attention.

I admit I did not want to die...and I DID want my mother's attention...which she denied me.

And I have been there, done that, spent a week in ICU.

they are the result of emotional turmoil, someone whose coping skills are broken

someone who threatens suicide or attempts suicide is in immediate need of psychiatric care
