There is so much hatred in the world.

Not everyone can have good academic intelligence, but everyone can have good emotional and life intelligence. The potential for wisdom is in us all.

The biggest obstacle to development of emotional intelligence and wisdom is hatred, and I think hatred has it's roots in fear. This fear/hatred seems to me to be an attempt to protect the integrity of the individual. People think that without these divisions between us they will lose what they have leading to the loss of their own beings. This is the result of a very limited view of who we really are.

What prompted this post was the recent hateful tweet by Roseanne Barr comparing an Obama staffer to an extremist and an ape. I don't know how old Barr is, but she appears to be in her 60s. By this time in her life she should be blossoming into a wise, intelligent, and compassionate woman. But here she is spreading this childish hate. I think that if she were to let go of that hate it would greatly improve her intelligence and wisdom. That goes for all the people out there spreading hate and discontent.

We have some major problems going on in the world now days. The survival of the planet and billions of people hangs in the balance. But America, the country that can do the most to alleviate this planetary distress, is stuck in this petty, hateful social game at the expense of not only the good people of this country, but also of the population of the entire planet.

The good news is that people can change. People can trade in their hate, fear, and greed for love, compassion, and selfless service. I know that's possible because I've done it myself. As soon as I let go of that hate my IQ improved dramatically. Relinquishing the hate showed me the fear that was at the core of my being. It usually takes some time, but once a being realizes that there are other possibilities and that compassion and love are boundless...the transformation begins, and there is no going back. You are on the path.

Some people are so mired in their fear and hatred that I suspect changing would be impossible. They need it to prove how "right" they are.

If only they could see their misdirection!

Maybe this will precipitate some evolution in her. It can also have the opposite effect.

it eats you up. it is like chronic pain. it tinges everything. it drags you down. it keeps you stuck.
i doubt these people have good relationships w anyone. blaming never works, but that is what they do.
and it piles up and piles up and piles up until you hate everything and everyone. i just dont think there are any boundaries for them.

and the sad thing is that you face your fears, and everything changes.
and anyone can do it. if they put their minds to it, and make it a priority.

Hate brings pain into the world not only for the hate-ee but also for the hater. It's just bad news for everyone and poisons minds.
