Some of mine:

An easy to follow explanation of why excessive cardio and calorie restriction can lead to weight loss plateaus, and rebounds when we stop dieting, and what to do about it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rhObSu7y2_A

More explanations of why calories in/calories out doesn't address the physical issues (insulin spikes, metabolism slow downs, etc.): Why We Get Fat (Gary Taubes)

Related, but with more specifics on do this/don't do that and basically how to hack our bodies into responding to food the way we want: 4 Hour Body (Tim Ferris)

And finally, a blog post: http://www.fitness-nutrition-weightloss.com/is-your-cardio-a-waste-of-time.html

What else would people here recommend?

It has smartphone apps to log food, with a community of people logging in nutritional information all the time. Most major diet plans are supported. Plain old food is supported.

but it was a few years ago. I think I'll take another look at that site later today, when I have more free time.

ETA: it's actually pretty quick and easy to sign up, so I did.

I Map My Walk

It actually maps a walk/run/bike ride using GPS. Pretty cool. I think it was a $2 download on iTunes.
