Help! Question.

Question. Trying to get dual citizenship with ireland. I'm lost. Grandmother born 1906 in county fermanagh (UK). How can I get her birth certificate? I'm googling and overwhelmed. Anyone done this? I'm truly lost

I don't know a darned thing about to get dual citizenship with Ireland, but it sounds like getting the birth certificate shouldn't be too hard. My father was born in England, and I had to order a copy of his birth certificate from the UK a few years ago. Once I found the instructions online, it was pretty easy.

couldn't you get some assistance from the nearest Irish consulate to you? They should be able to answer any questions and explain the procedure to you.

If I think on it I probably have both those ingredients, but not too firm on the year (from census.

The problem with Irish records is everyone has the same names. There could be hundreds of for example Margaret Brennans in a given county. Hundreds!!
