What's for Dinner, Fri., Nov. 29, 2024

I have my turkey wild rice soup started but I don't think it's going to be ready for dinner tonight because I'm using the slow cooker.

Instead, I'll have cream cheese-shrimp spread on top of fire-roasted tomato crackers.

Then a corned beef-melted Swiss cheese sandwich on rye. Sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing on the side. Sweet potato fries.

A little salad--red leaf, arugula, red onion, orange and yellow peppers, tomatoes.

Cherry kombucha.

No dessert, because regretfully, last night I had too many of the Italian chocolates the RG sent me.

The pumpkin loaf is so good that I told my sister she has to take it with her when she leaves

from my brother’s family dinner yesterday. He made so much food, there was plenty for us to take. Cornbread stuffing, green beans almondine, steamed snap peas and carrots, and cranberry/orange relish. I’m making lentils cooked in veggie broth, minced onions, garlic and poultry seasoning to be the main protein and mushroom gravy to pour over the stuffing. Iced Earl Gray tea with lemon. Might have apple pie for dessert. Cheers!

Made with turkey from yesterday, and store tomatoes that were cheap because they won't last much longer. Our Black Friday shopping was all in grocery stores, a Mexican market, a tiny Burmese store, and the Bosnian section of a local grocery (who had the cheap tomatoes).
