Anybody know about new fangled diagnostics on refrigerators?

We have a three year old Whirlpool side by side refrigerator: WRS571CIDW00.

I've had issues with the icemaker, but fixed them in the past with getting rid of ice build up on the interior of the door. But I'm in over my head now. Found a video of how wires become detached through normal opening of the door. Fixed them. Then ordered a new ice maker. It was installed today. No ice. And I could only unplug and turn on the switch. No reset button like some I found on line. Maybe there isn't one?

I've looked around and found a video dealing with diagnostics. But it's beyond me.

Has anybody dealt successfully with this type of refrigerator?

Where would that be?

I did unplug the refrigerator in an effort to reboot it.

and I'd love to rip it out and send it out the window, it takes up a good 20% of freezer space, something I need more than I need ice for the drinks I can't do because alcohol is not my friend. I've got it stuffed with cold packs for my back, but the sucker would work better if it was out the window or even stuffed into the back of the cabinet under the sink.

The ones on the outside of the freezer door in a side-by-side might be workable. This one is not.

We got the counter depth fridge. But eggs freeze if they're on the side near the freezer. The space taken up by the icemaker and water dispenser make their functioning imperative. Otherwise, I'd take an axe to them. But when working I appreciate them. Not so much right now.
