This is how I celebrated FINALLY getting the lawns mowed.

The back lot was SO overgrown. To FINALLY get it AND the house lawn mowed inspired me to treat myself with a nice burger with mushrooms, caramelized onions and Swiss Cheese. Not from a restaurant. Made right in my kitchen and grilled to perfection.

So do the fries. Did you make them?

And what's in the glass? Looks like a nice Amber Ale.

And the fries are actually sprayed with oil and baked in the toaster oven. I don't know WHY I didn't just bring out the air fryer!

But if it makes good french fries, that alone is a good reason to get one.

I went out to look at my flowers this morning and all my nasturtiums are blooming like gangbusters. Just like that. I hope they spread out more, they'll bloom all summer as long as they get watered. Speaking of which, I may have to get offline as a large darkness is now overhead and lightning is imminent. Already been knocked off once.

Although they’re not the same as when the Thomas’ owned it. Still good, but not the same.

That was the original name when they first opened in Flint, in 1923. I think it was some time in the 60's when Bill Thomas bought and renamed them Halo Burgers.

They have great burgers but the best in Flint has to be from The Torch on Buckham Alley, downtown Flint. That's where I had my birthday dinner.

My buddy who grew up in Lansing knows them as Kewpie, too. Phonetically QP, short for quarter-pounder.

I love the Torch Burger! If I knew how to upload a photo, it would have been my The Torch t-shirt.

Personally, I still think the original Angelo’s burger was the best. Now I prefer the Starlite cheeseburger on Center.

I realized you were a Genesee county resident a while ago. I’m a proud Flintoid, but I’m an ex-pat. Left in the late 80s. Still a lot of family there. Moved out of state for over a decade, but have been back in state, Ann Arbor, since 2004.

Love your kitties, and I’m personally a dog fella. You make ‘em all so cuddly and cute.

Love you Siwsan, and only know you through this amazing community!
