The veg garden is PLANTED. And I'm EXHAUSTED.

16 tomato (Early Girl, San Marzano, Marinara, some sort of sweet cherry tomato), 16 pepper (Gypsy, Sweet Italian, Big Red and Habanero) along with zucchini and yellow squash. There's room for more if I find something interesting and for any volunteer tomato plants that pop up.

This is a much smaller garden than I usually plant. I am already looking forward to some delish 'from garden to table' Mediterranean style meals and stocking up the freezer with home made stewed tomatoes.

As soon as I find the energy, I'm going to make a nice big G&T, sit in the shade and relax.

And yeah, I was wiped out!

And like you - I'm sitting there watching - waiting for that 'FIRST TOMATO!'

Good work! I hope your harvest is bountiful! I watch volunteers and let them develop. There are always squashes and tomatoes popping up. If they're in a good spot; I leave them be.

Excellent! You're gonna love watching them grow! I hope you'll keep us posted.

I grew up being told "you may be tired, but it's a GOOD tired" - usually after studying all night.
