(110,159 posts)net was introduced in my life about the time i had first child. wealth of info. lots of people with opinion. it was and still is, so helpful.
the best gift my pediatrician told me a couple months after my first was born (she knew me a couple years before i had baby and had seen my concerns and ability as parent after i had baby) when i was telling her, people say.....
was, listen to yourself. you know your child best. and that includes the info i give you.
she wasnt telling me my way was always right or the only way, but i knew the baby best, trust in that.
so regardless of what you hear from well meaning people, always listen to your heart.

(1 post)I know there are many parents in here, parents who may own some roller blinds this is why I wanted to share this article http://www.merrybaby.com/activities-and-games/safety-first-make-roller-blinds-a-child-safe-solution-for-homes/ on the dangers posed by cord and chain operated rollers opposed to child safe roller blinds. Hope this will help

(6,453 posts)One nice piece of advice that my cousins gave me was to bake a wonderful cake and freeze it - so that it could be eaten a few months after the birth, way after all the nice meals well wishers have dropped off. When you are a bit dingy from not sleeping....that cake will be a special treat and help you remember the old life of nights of uninterrupted sleep. And help you celebrate this new life that continually unfolds and challenges and causes parents to expand in so many unimaginable ways.
