Martini is a paper lion

Every night between 6:00-7:00, I give her her medicine. She will come downstairs during that time and sit there, looking at me. I say "let's go get your medicine" and she'll turn around, walk back upstairs and stop right outside the bathroom. I pick her up, shut the bathroom door and she starts acting like she hates it. Sometimes she turns into the Incredible Hulk, but most of the time, she just takes it and swallows it. I think she's more resigned to it now because she knows she gets treats when we're done but she has to act like it's such an ordeal. Holly waits right outside the door because she knows what time it is when we come out. Treat time!

And thank you for the snack award which she so justly deserves. The smart one, Holly, simply places herself in position for treats that require no action or pleading.

Our boy, Chance, even stopped pretending he didn't like taking his meds. It was more like, "Hurry up and let's get to the treats part of this endeavor."

My current meds adventure took a surprising turn when I started breaking the pill in half and using 2 pill pockets. Now it's treats time instead of my girl eating the pill pocket and leaving the pill.
