(72,042 posts)Vincent is her big brother (black lab).
Both kitties were loose in the room with him. He was bouncing back & forth keeping an eye on them. Like a big brother should!
Here's Vincent.

(72,042 posts)Margo was to the right of the piano by the fake fireplace, so I couldn't get a good picture.
They'll be out again tomorrow morning, so maybe I'll get one then.

(114,025 posts)What was Vincent’s reaction?
ProfessorGAC
(72,042 posts)Last night, he'd look into the kennel with this low growl, but wagging his tail.
Today I took them out one at a time, held them on my lap, and let him go nose to nose. His first reaction was to lick their faces. So, I thought that was pretty good.
When we let them have run of the room, he just went from one to the other making sure they were ok & in sight.
My wife & I were very pleased with him. Acted like a good big brother.

We can watch them grow up.

(72,042 posts)We had a dog that would lay his chin on different parts of the keyboard, thinking he was making music like me.
Maybe she'll run the keys thinking the same.
I haven't played piano since we got them yesterday, but I have played guitar so they're already hearing music.

(8,287 posts)I was once involved with a production of Carmen where the leading lady ws a redhead. She was great. Actually, of the four leads, our Escanillo was the weakest - and he was great too.

(122,911 posts)The usual walking on the keys, and going vack when they found a note they liked. One night, there was a loud noise, brought me out of bed in a daze. Went into the music room, and one of my little musicians was walking up and down the keys, while another was standing on the sustain pedal. The third one was just sitting on the bench, watching them.
That was the last time I left that door open at night!

(18,517 posts)Love to hear the kitty on the keys if you get a chance. Some of my cats seemed to understand the notes more than others.

(72,042 posts)About 6" taller and 2" thicker than a spinet.
Funny thing is, I replaced a 100 year old Schaubel that I could not longer repair. (Pin block was shot.)
A music store owner I know called me and offered me this piano for half-off his usual price because there's a dent/scratch on the right side, and insurance covered the other half.
That side is in the corner & my bass case is against it and nobody ever sees it.
So, this is a fine piano that I got for a steal. I paid $2,700 instead of $5,400 in 1996!
