Merlin woke me up by washing my face

He's been scooting around the house, looking for new scents to sniff. He's getting more coordinated and faster, every single day.

I've got it timed so I just have to wake up once to feed him, at night.

Now he's worn himself out from all of that exploring. He's settled down on me and is fast asleep. I am going to try and weigh him so I can see how much progress he's made. Merlin is definitely very small for his age, but as long as the other bench marks are being met I'm not going to worry.

He'll be going back to the vet in about a month to start his vaccinations and get scheduled for neutering.

as he explores his world. It could be that he will always be small. However, I keep getting this image of a huge growth spurt at some point. hugggs to all your babies.

Used to gently bite my face or reach out with claws to not-so-gently wake me up in the middle of the night.
Amazingly effective!

Now, he just gently licks my head.

The message is still the same though - feed me! Feed me now!

Sounds like Merlin is a fast learner. Got the moves to get the servant's attention.

(*) Probably not feral, more like he was abandoned or wandered too far away from home.
Loves dogs, so that's a bonus.
