Exhausted but happy!

You may recall we lost both of our dogs last year and I was starting to become severely depressed. We now have two new puppies, a rottweiler pup and a mixed something with fluffy hair and big feet. They are good with the crate training so far. Potty is mostly good but they like to poo and pee even if we just came back in the house from going potty! But I know they are babes and this will change over time. They sleep well most nights but sometimes I wake up wondering if I didn't hear them and then I'm awake, lol. I'm tired and it's strange to have to do things in a rush while they are napping but we are SO HAPPY! We are enjoying them as much as we can.

I'll try to figure out how to post pictures.

We have several pets in our house, but they belong to other family members. Since the passing of my Boston I miss not having my sweet pup
at nighttime. It sounds like fun with 2 puppies.

We have had dogs for decades so something felt off without them

6. One of our vets once said to me that one of very best ways to honor a departed pet family member...

...was to offer that same loving home the "old" pet enjoyed to someone else who needs one. No need to feel any guilt for falling in love with a new critter.

We call new furry family members successors, never replacements.

How lovely that you are feeling joy.
