I think a lot of the first video applies to ANY language.
Most people start trying to "run" linguistically when they can barely walk and will say stupid things. I routinely said crazy things in Spanish when I first started out including listing masturbation as one of my favorite hobbies instead of juggling.
You can tell a lot about a person by how they construct sentences or the words they choose in any language. Japan has one way of doing it that, presumably because he's Japanese, he's very familiar with, but his attitude is that he doesn't grant the possibility to other languages - not just that in Japanese it's more subtle or there are more instances. He pushes it as something completely unique.
Using a different dialect in a certain city can catch people off-guard and be funny? No foolin'? Wahl, sheeeee-it. Ah ain't ever heard of that b'fore!
Oh, and there was something about how Japanese speak humbly, but if you don't do it correctly, you're going to get your ass kicked? Really? I make a mistake, and the denizens of this very humble country will rise up to beat the crap out of me?

I like learning languages - I have a degree in Spanish, and I'm mucking around with German and Italian for fun, and I've been encouraged by native speakers in all three languages to continue. Not to stereotype, but Spanish-speakers love it when you earnestly try to speak their language at any level as they take it as a compliment (not everyone of course - there are assholes everywhere). When I took my last Spanish class, it was through a program at my university where people who signed up traveled to Mexico and took whatever classes they wanted/needed from one of the Spanish professors who also went, and we were told to not be surprised if we were in a market for example, a vendor might pull out a stool for us to sit on so they could talk to us and it happened to me a couple of times.
Nothing this guy says makes me want to learn Japanese. Perhaps he should work on not coming off as such an asshole in English.
