United Kingdom citizenship test....Can you pass on British History?

I was right on 11 of 15 (73%). With my BA in history, the prof who taught me British History in 1974 is probably rolling in his grave

which surprised the hell out of me. Not bad for an American who couldn't tell a zebra (that's pronounced ZEBBruh) from a pelican when visiting London.

"When did the English first impose English laws on Wales and the Welsh?"

I said 14th Century and the correct answer was 16th Century.

"What proportion of the population of the UK were killed by the Black Death?"

I said a quarter and the correct answer was a third.

"Which kinds of skilled workers did not come to England in large numbers from Europe in the Middle Ages?"

I said engineers and the correct answer was carpenters.
