Kickstarter: Giving Voice to LGBT Elders
This project uses the PhotoVoice method to "give voice" to LGBT elders and empower them tell their stories through photography.
Unseen Images, Untold Stories: Using PhotoVoice To Capture The Lives Of LGBT Elders is a traveling photography exhibit by LGBT elders who document what it is like to be old and LGBT. The traveling exhibit, which includes audio recorded stories by the elders, will travel to various public spaces, throughout a 7 county region in northeast Florida.

(5,105 posts)1. Equally important is hearing their experiences while under gov't persecution.
I've talked to some older men about that time. The danger was real, but some found it exciting, because, I guess, there was no alternative and sex is a primary part of being human.
I don't doubt for a second we could go back to a time when gays are persecuted yet again.

I wouldn't trade a day of those experiences, with the exception of the early dark days of the AIDS epidemic. We really were family.
