Hypothetical Question

Does a business owner who is a Democrat and a website creator now have the right to refuse service to someone who wants a MAGA website created? I certainly do hope so.

A business owner has always had that right.

Political beliefs are not a protected classification.

One real eye-opener with this decision is how poorly anti-discrimination law is understood in the first place.

Political beliefs are not protected, but someone's anti LGBT agenda is protected?

I haven’t followed politics too long, but I would think a business has the right to refuse service to anyone (except based on race, religion, sex, age, etc. obviously). Why would a business owner want to limit income potential by turning away paying customers? Also, specifically what would be on this MAGA site that is offensive?

... reserving the right right to refuse service to anyone is about not being overtly racist or bigoted. If you're a bigot, money is not the only or even most important motivator.

If all those one reserved the right to refuse service to all belong to a specific class of people, there may well be legal processes in one's future.
