Here is an observation on my compadres during TTP coverage

Who was there? One guy from AP, a bunch of very local media, hey I usually do city council...so do most of my counterparts, and a Malasya TV crew.

Ok outside we had PBS, and the rest at the rally, but not inside.

I spent hours doing background. I got local nterviews with experts, called Wyden's office. So when I got to Public Citizen it was mostly, did I read this right? (I had a lot of the quotes already).

My AP counterpart didn't even know Senator Wyden was refused access or there was a statement, or that the revolt is spreading in Congress.

How sad is that? But all he wanted were a couple of quotes.

Folks this is a personal observation on major stories. The bigger they are, the less likely they are to get into details. Find local media you can support.
