5. Not surprising

Barger was the unquestioned leader of the Hells Angels, which began as a loose group of motorcycle enthusiasts made up mostly of veterans from WWII and the Korean War but under him became the outlaws we've known since the 60s. In the late 70s and 80s George Christie was a leader of a SoCal branch who began to be seen as a rival to Barger and that was something Sonny didn't permit. Christie has told about Barger's ability to spot certain characteristics in his followers, specifically issues with father figures, and he tapped into that to become the one all Angels followed, even when he didn't follow the club rules.

So that kind of autocratic personality who says fuck you to anyone or any law they don't like is something a demented dweeb like Fucker Carlson would admire.
