3. I had to skip around and did not watch from start to finish....

...but the one thing that stood out to me was how deeply misinformation has dug itself into the reasoning of the various rightwingers' thought processes, and how a few pieces of misinformation placed in the past, on any given topic, can affect the progression of thought from that point forward, forever skewing the ability to reason on any topic, of the person who believed that misinformation before.

Is that the basis of cognitive dissonance? That once someone has been pushed off the path of reality, they are now following a non-reality based direction and it is extremely difficult to pull them back on to it?

9. That sounds right.

That doesn’t surprise me. There were more than a few loose screws on that stage. What I found interesting was the ‘woke teen’ got a bit shook up regarding the pull out from Afghanistan. He was correct, a pre agreed withdrawal made by TSF. But he (WT) waffled on that and I felt like he had just been beaten down and a bit broken there. I wish he would have said ‘you are wrong. Check it out!’ It’s impossible to break through with these people.

I had a conversation yesterday with a woman who was planning to vote for Jill Stein. She said she would never vote for Harris because she is a socialist. My attempts to breathe life into her were unsuccessful. I finally said the young people and women will pay the price for this. Her response was she is old and her daughter did not give her grandchildren so she doesn’t care! I don’t know how people can think like that! Selfish to the bone!

5. Wow, that was interesting.

My takeaway is that many of the Repubs wouldn’t let the Democrat speak! They shouted over him, interrupted him and got a lot more speaking time than he did. The Repubs who stood out favorably were the ones who allowed the Democrat to speak and listened to his remarks. I listened to this entire program, from start to finish.

There was definitely misinformation being tossed around, but I enjoyed hearing some of the thought processes.

My sister has become a MAGA, and she sounds like some of these people in the video: she shouts over me, doesn’t let me speak, and spouts nonsensical talking points.
