Pumpkin patched infantry Drill

The couple is traveling to benning. Mrs drill sgt is six months along with child. The couple spent the time recovering from trip to see her family in New England as were halfway between destinations. This gentleman and my nephew served together. My nephew is now on staff at benning as well. So hey you do not need a hotel stop at my aunts and uncle Teb. Uncle teb is former infantry and it’s all cool. So Saturday we get up and my wife and the young lady head out to shop at the outlets. I said to the boys you all want to go bass fishing. As we would have gotten a out of state fishing licenses for our guest. As he is a avid fisherman as well. The answer was dad we’re going to a birthday party at the community pool.
So trying to be a gracious host after we were left alone kids at the pool wife and Mrs drill sgt shopping . I asked the infantry Drill hey you wanna walk to the VFW. Sounds like a plan so we deployed to the VFW. And then eventually swept through clearing our AO to the pub. Eventually all good things must end. As I received the dreaded where are you text from my wife we’re home. I replied at the pub I got the really. So we walked home and can I add Mrs Drill was not to pleased. With Mr drill sgt. My wife said to me you are such a bad influence she said it out of humor. Clearly Drill sgt and I were the victims. The young couple just left after breakfast and he is driving nursing a hangover. I shook his hand because infantry drill sgt the best. His wife is not active duty just a army wife but I jokingly refer to her as Mrs drill.

I’m betting the DS wife knew the drill too. I mean if they go shopping and leave you guys without adult supervision. That’s kinda their fault!
