(47,783 posts)Been a long time since I read one like that. When you're old and smart they just let you do it. And you do it 'cuz you can!

(15,126 posts)You know, I worry about seniors, since I'm about to be 62. We're being divided out of the herd by right-wingers who are basically saying the choice is to hurt young people by closing stuff down, or just sacrifice a few million elderly people to keep the ol' economy humming.
Seriously. I just read a report by the Kansas City Fed that used an elegant quadratic equation model to determine the proper balance point between the survival interests of the elderly and the economic interests of the young.
And, for those a bit younger than you, left-of-center, if laid off, they will have about half the chance of younger workers are getting a new job, and for those 'lucky' ones who do find something, it will likely pay around half of what they were earning. And in the meantime, Trump wants to cut the Social Security payroll tax to starve the already thin trust fund.
Honestly, I have absolutely NO idea why any senior citizen would EVER vote for a Republican.

(320 posts)I'm only a little younger than you are and I think what you did is shit. You had a chance to be a hero and you made yourself a chump.

(34,204 posts)And the cashier confirmed it with the rude driver.
Now the cashier was on the spot for vouching for her claim at the second window.
Still, you caused her and the workers some stress and McDonalds lost a few dollars.

(34,195 posts)I can't believe folks are criticizing the woman's behavior,
that she jeopardized someone's job,
or that she technically could not have paid at one window and picked up at another,
that she was cruel to the other driver, etc.
Sheesh- It's humor.
