Atlanta Teacher’s Photos Go Viral, but Some Think Her Attire Is Inappropriate

More: The Root

A fourth-grade Atlanta teacher has been called the “sexiest” teacher alive by social media. A photo of Patrice “Tricey” Brown went viral over the weekend, and in the photo, Brown is wearing a form-fitting dress while in class. But the photos have people divided when it comes to what’s supposedly appropriate teaching attire.

Now, personally, I don’t see anything wrong with what she has on. But others, well, here’s just a sampling of what people are saying on social media:

I have no problem with what she is wearing. Not showing skin or anything. I can't imagine it is comfortable though!

I guess a lot of guys got distracted but I always paid more attention and tried to impress when I had an exceptionally attractive teacher.

* no pun intended.

Only saw the first pic. The dress is tight but it would it be hard not to be.

are somehow 'more revealing'. i hate how skinny girls can wear a tank top and shorts and no one thinks twice about it, meanwhile if i do it, i'm clearly violating all sorts of clothing rules.

this disproportionately affects women of color

Her friend who has more curves got tagged for dress code violation for "too short" shorts that were the same amount of short as the ones my athletically built daughter was wearing.

Sigh. Not fair. Body shaming is the worst.

Intelligent, very capable, good looking, and cares about her appearance - an excellent role model.

The world needs more people like this, not less, and we need to listen more to what she has to say.

One gets really weary of people trying to subjugate women and POC when they are good at what they do, and look good doing it. Instead, celebrate it!
