Gregg Allman wrote this song the day after the assassination. I'm not sure if it was ever released commercially

while thanking you for your thoughtful post? Really for all of his life Dr. King faced the struggle that we will face again come Friday. He faced it and he fought it and it made him strong and it made us strong.

I understand the sadness, but it's time to lift our eyes. Let them bring on the dogs and the fire hoses and the baseball bats and even the cop's bullets. We will not fall.

To borrow the words of the great man . . .

Still we rise.

I just want to show my respect

.I can only be who I am. Speak in my own voice... So I apologize for the melonchaly tone.

I just wanted to show respect and share a song that not enough people are familiar with.
