(36,356 posts)...how heavy the sheer mass of the Atlantic Ocean is, how it drags the western horizon and the edge of Ireland down with it.
Oh wait....
Seriously, great pics, even if the first did make me sit crooked in my chair for a minute, LOL. I liked the middle one the best, I think.
I didn't even notice how crooked it was until I looked at this thread again. Sorry for temporarily messing up your equalibrium.

Not that many years ago I managed to make it to Ireland and visited a few different Holy Wells as well as St. Columcille's Abbey in Co. Donegal (where my own family is from).
The sites I visited were indeed profound and rare and ... sadly ... I'm not very certain that such sites as these are "protected" as they should be as archaeological sites under the now EU that seems to be running the show in Ireland (or so they think that is ...).
To me this is incredibly sad but your pictures are beautiful nonetheless!

We were staying in Dublin and making day trips all over. We got stuck out there to to the weather. So we stated at a B&B, then took the loop the following morning. That's when we came across it.
Out next trip we are doing a motorcycle tour.
