Any readers of the Chief Inspector Gamache series by Louis Penny?

I'm 2/3 of the way through the 17th in the series and I just don't want it to end. Three Pines feels like a town I want to live in and the characters would be my friends. I hadn't read a book in this series for few months and when I started this one it just felt so comfortable.

If you want to look at this series, please, start with the first, Still Life, and read them in order.

1. Wonderful series. Read most of them.

Always felt as though Inspector Gamache was a real person.

When my wife and I travel we like to listen to audio books. We are not very Sirius and searching for good music on the radio doesn't work either. Louise Penny is our go to audiobook.

6. Have you seen the Three Pines series on amazon prime?

It isn't what I'd "seen" in my mind but I loved it anyway.

Also....Louis Penny and Hillary Clinton collaborated on a book, State of Terror, that was pretty darn good.

7. Yes, most of the actors looked nothing like I'd imagined the characters,

but I liked it anyhow. I hope they do another one.

Molina was very good in the part, but he didn't look like "my" Gamache.

9. Yes. This series is one of my go-to comfort reading. Been through them all at least three times. I'm

not going to watch the tv series. I’ve heard very mixed things about it. And I like my mind’s eye and don’t want to challenge it.

Also her food descriptions almost make the whole series worthwhile.

I can probably squeeze in the book she wrote with Hillary Clinton this year or next, but the Gamache series will have to wait. I simply have too many other books needing my attention for the foreseeable future.
