The Roommate from Hell makes my Valparaiso University roomate-from-hell pale by comparison.I have a new roommate. And hes the roommate from hell.
I realize that phrase is thrown around a lot, usually to describe housemates whose behaviors range from the mildly annoying peccadillo to acts of full-blown psychosis. You know the type. Weve all had them. But this is different. Im now completely convinced theres a demon living in my apartment.

*Don't forget to read the comments at the bottom, they've nearly as fun as the story itself.

(18,219 posts)I am not sure I will ever be as surprised and shocked by a story like I was with the last one---Diseased. That one was excellent. Sadly, I somehow determined at Day 36 that the Roommate from Hell was the speaker and not his roommate. Not that it took much away from the telling of the story. Daemonwulf is such a good writer and I enjoyed this one too. And isn't he a sweetheart in his thanks to all the people who comment? That seems so different from the person who writes these stories.

Well, apparently Snarkoleptic has struck again! Thanks Mr. S. for the continued support of my mania. And also for posting links to said mania here on DU.com. I noticed the referrals from DU yesterday and decided to investigate. Apparently I wasn't getting posts e-mailed from DU.com so didn't know that the conversation here was still happening.
Curmudgeoness... Sorry I was unable to trick you this time. *RATS! face* Sometimes it works. Sometimes...well...not so much. I do very much appreciate you reading my stories over there at Pen of the Damned, especially since you're not really a horror fan. To be honest, having your support may even mean more to me over that of the 'choir folk' who voraciously gobble up any scares they can sink their teeth into. And thanks too for the 'sweetheart' thing. But don't be bandying that one about much. I have a nefarious reputation to uphold! *kidding grin* Let's keep any alleged 'goodness' 'twixt you 'n me, eh? *kidding grin 2* Thanks again. Now that I've been back, I think I've officially been caught in the DU.com trap, and likely have found yet another social media destination to steal my time. *procrastinating smile* More later!

(18,219 posts)to see what's new here. It does waste the time!
I enjoyed the new story, even is I did figure it out. It was still well written and really kept my attention, as creepy as it was.
And as to your reputation, don't worry, I will not tell a soul. If anyone finds out, it didn't come from me.

(28,158 posts)I can't thank you enough for sharing. I love a good read and who can't enjoy someone being tormented by a demon? I know I can't. Then to watch them devolve into the very thing they hate...delicious! Well, if you like the taste of chicken that is.
I bookmarked and plan to read all their work. The short felt a bit like a tease as to what they were capable of, but there's much to be said for a good tease.
