John le Carre has a new George Smiley novel coming out!

"A Legacy Of Spies" printing this fall, 9-7-2017. Just saw the official notice from le Carre's on-line site.

How's that for a little positive news? Can't wait to get my hands on it.

....I'd love for it to have the same cast, writers, director, etc. as the 2011 movie of "Tinker Tailor"----particularly Gary Oldman in his dead bang perfect depiction of Smiley.

When I was posted in Asia I would time my duty trips to coincide with new releases.

His son worked in Bangkok on refugees but I was reluctant to talk to him about his great father, my favorite author.
