I was hooked on the first paragraph. It is a marvel to read.
I wish I could think even one sentence as good as she writes.

(60,011 posts)They have to be pretty outstanding, plus most of my reading is history.
having said that, my top favorite writer is Rick Bragg. I will drop everything to grab something he writes.
There are a lot of "2nd place" writers of different genre.
I will be looking for Ms. Boo's writings around the net, and hopefully another book soon.

(19,207 posts)and was just laughing nearly every page. His descriptions of his Mom and Dad at home, work and ON VACATION are just amazing. He really describes each state/region he visited to a TEE!

(22,336 posts)and I loved it! I haven't seen the movie yet but I plan to get it from Redbox or something. I did find it boring early on when it was all about animal habits, but once I got past that I really enjoyed the rest.
