Highly recommended if you can retain hope in the face of irrefutable evidence of man's inhumanity to man in a political setting.

Been reading it off and on for months now.
Caro, now better known for his 4 volume ( one more vol to come) work of LBJ, is wordy..and repetitious.
But..his bios are incredibly researched, and at least one pound of his humongous books is footnotes and references.
He got a well deserved Pulitzer.
