1. What age group is it targeted at?

Although it looks like something my witchy/faerie 23 year old daughter would love, too.

3. It's middle grade around 9 to 12 but it does have a lot of appeal for adults as well

The illustrations by Larry MacDougall are very sophisticated. His sketch work looks like something out of the Renaissance by Michelangelo: http://mythwood.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

It's not a picture book, it's more in the direction of a storybook with chapters.
