The Umbrella That Creates Shade is pulled down during The Rain

Is that because people who are going nowhere,

diminish the Sun and the Rain?

Or is it one or the other?

Whether we think or we fail to think
about the weather,

do we move, get out there,

It's like a good feeling where friends or family meet,
to eat a grand joyful meal,

or just eating anything you can find for your own sustenance,
comes out of your own imagination,

Like you're some kind of economist
who tries to figure things out?

Out there, here, there, and everywhere all around.

Hey, we don't know,
sometimes we only want dark clouds,
the bluest skies are too much.

I think I am worried about the climate changes
that I have witnessed since my very own youth

in your poem you mention the word, economists

and I think aren't we all at some point, or at least
shouldn't we be?

We cannot use an umbrella to mask the truth anymore.

Sure, maybe past generations, even some from my youth
have a tiny sliver of an excuse,

but not now, the tools, the history is all there,
some of us have lived through enough of it to know
the changes to the environment are real

I for one know, we need to work together to make a positive change -

and maybe one day even imagine a different kind of umbrella


like an old coin used for trade thousands of years before,

I'm talking full on Keynesian economics baby!

Give a hoot about your brother, and the last bastion
of environment that we need to use,

together, all of us, efficiently.


And hell yes, it's complicated as heck.

How do we build a better umbrella so you can easily close the damn thing, and store it
for when it's needed again.

used to be, even if you didn't have one, it might be a little unpleasant,

but no biggie

And don't get me started about tornado's, droughts, and biblical flooding

or oceans so acidic that most of the fishes, or any fishes with wishes,

wish they could someday find a new planet to live on to survive.
