Irritation (You might recognize the source)

His name in my mouth like an ulcer,

spoiling my appetite,

dull and metallic.

It brushes the sharpness of my

teeth with

dazzling pain

when I have to say his

name again

(and somehow I always have to).

The center of attention

he is, like sand in an oyster

making a pearl of

no price.

Am I being too harsh?

No.

This is me,

being nice.

A corpse at every wedding

and a bride at every funeral,

a dull blade at a beheading

and a cover price for a free for all--

a menace to country

and an offense to God

with a bad-fitting suit

and hair so odd

it folds about his skull like a nest

for departed origami cranes.

He could stain a black hole.

If the world were to devour him whole,

I think he would make the crater sick

him up like ipecac

and look none the worse,

and I wish his hearse would be

a fly-ridden sanitation truck.

Fuck! He should greet death

on a prison toilet and be captured

on a million cameras

for the tabloids to devour--

and that's the mildest thing I'd shower him with;

the acid of my words--

not literal vitriol.

And why do I assault him thus?

I must admit.

It calms my soul.

(Kindly disclaimer: this is a flight of poesy for posterity, but between you and me exempting he, you and me agree that he deserves a recognition of the annoyance and disruption he serves. Apocalyptic possibilities emerge whenever his chances surge. Also he gets on my nerves.)

Poetry in full mood of expressing, reaching out to define, and yet mere words never could
in any description convey
The bottom of the bottomless slime

Yes of course, the orange one
just like a whole host of real people who get under one's skin
And you think, why don't they just fuck off.

And then a whole bunch of people you know, people you even like,
vote for this a second time.

Holy shit.

Of course, you could look around
Stuff that went down in Iraq, Egypt,
Syria, Yemen, all over in Africa.

Even for centuries here in the good old US.

Payloads of exploitation folks.
We can't all be assholes.
No, it's the god damn system.

But you can't grapple with it all by its roots.
Damn.

It's like a backwards devolution
played forwards for those who know better
to see. Just to throw all this that is true
in their faces

Like the world is truly broken
And no one truly believes
we can overcome
That we can come together
and begin to heal.

Yes, Trump sucks!
Say it every day.
Just like GWB.

And I have to say Clinton did a bit too.
Why the fuck did Biden choose to run again?
I have no idea why many people do not understand
macroeconomics or recent history

nor pollution, plastics, corruption
why are there so many billionaires
and so many billions just trying to survive

maybe it's just us,
And that thought just freaks me out.

So, I say
never give up.
Bad shit like this has happened before
And good people acted best they could.

We got to try.
