Intensity
Everything grinds to a halt
A singularity
A point of infinite pressure
The weight of the world on my shoulders
How can I remove the burden?
Ignore and hide away?
Stand rigid under the weight?
Just run and flee responsibility?
Should I be brave and withstand the arrows
Shot from all sides accurate in fire?
Do I have a shield handy?
Or do I just deflect them when I can?

The aftermath of the siege
Smoke rising from the landscape
As rebuilding begins
And all that was destroyed
Is cast into the ditch as rubble

Flailing swords of words
Slashing towards my throat
A heavy blade of hatred
Searching for the blood
That would end my life
Fighting through the fear
