The alien invasion stories often portray

the alien invaders with a plan to destroy humankind. Does anyone ever wonder what humans would do if they invaded another planet? With our track record on Earth, I doubt that any human force would follow the Star Trek Prime Directive.

But I remember reading ‘true or fiction, I’m not sure’ that when they were planning on sending a Voyager out to space - they included a recording on a gold plated record.

They asked a member of one of the Native American tribes to speak a few words in his native tongue on the record, which he did.

They later asked him - what did you say and he refused to answer.

Years later, they asked his grandson - what was said and the grandson said it translated as “Do not trust the white man”….

That is based on actual history. And, I would consider that band riding through Mexico to be "aliens" - humans in an alien environment.
