You capture the essence of domestic violence very well.
It covers past, present and future effects in a short piece.

Oh thank you! I always worry that people will think its either over the top or just flat out not believable. When in reality much of it is my mother-in-Laws story just set an a fictional universe. My mother-in-law was a prodigy with plants not a piano.
