Players on LIV Golf circuit allowed to compete at 2023 Augusta Masters - WION



Players on the LIV Golf circuit have been allowed to compete at the 2023 Augusta Masters. LIV Golfers are currently banned from competing in events on the PGA tour.

These guys in LIV are like guys who leave their wives for a fling with a side chick and then come back for a fling with their wives before going back to stay with their side chicks. Is this how it's going to be with every major?

Because LIV results & earnings don't count toward world rankings, several high profile members go through qualifying measures. Koepka & DeChambeau would be examples.
Several of the others are past champions and they've ALWAYS been part of the Masters. (Except, obviously, the first one.) Johnson, Mickelson, Watson, Garcia, Reed...
Out of 17 LIV players who might play the tournament, 7 were automatically eligible anyway.
I don't think this is the big news some sports pundits are making it.

and they should play the Masters. They earned it. As far as the US Open and the Open Liv players can qualify like every other player who is not exempt. many PGA pros qualify through sectionals.
