Her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, has not been immune to that interest, with many wondering what is behind the man who spends his life with Caitlin Clark in a romantic capacity.

One particular topic of interest has been McCaffery's political opinions, and which party he stands with ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election.

After a lot of mithering, McCaffery has made his political stance clear on social media this week.

McCaffery took the time to post a supportive message for Harris on his social media feed as the candidate looks to secure the Democratic nomination after Joe Biden withdrew from the race. The message itself was a campaign video released by Harris' team, which McCaffery reposted on his own Instagram page, signaling his support for her.

This is not the first time McCaffery has voiced his political views online. He has previously shown support for progressive and left-leaning causes. McCaffery, who works for the Indiana Pacers, recently celebrated his one-year anniversary with Caitlin Clark.

I don’t understand why this matters, I don’t see that his politics should therefore define or be reflective of her politics. What if he is left leaning but she is not? Are we now so petty that we can only support sport heroes or other public figures if their politics are in the right alignment? If she is a Republican, should we cancel her?
